A key House Republican wants to make changes to a Senate-passed measure that aims to expand patient access to experimental treatments, a move that will slow the measure’s path to passage.

“There’s a way to work through this that will work for patients and patient safety, will work for terminally ill patients and not give false hope,” Walden said. “I think we can work our way through that and do so in a pretty expedited way that can be bipartisan, that should be able to earn support in both chambers.”
