The historic Timberline Lodge is set to reopen on Sunday after a fire Thursday night forced guests to evacuate, including guests of a wedding that was scheduled for Friday.
The ski area reopened Saturday morning.
Guests were evacuated when Timberline Lodge caught fire Thursday night. Embers from the lodge’s main fireplace likely started the fire on the roof, but the flames “did not penetrate the hotel interior,” said John Burton, a spokesperson for the lodge.Courtesy of the U.S. Forest Service
