"It's a best practice for county commissioners to be engaged on these federal issues," he said. But best practices do no include taxpayers' paying of bar bills or ten bucks for a pack of trail mix. These little things are indicators of a failure in ethics--just as is spending a quarter-mil on a short video not in the public interest. Green M&Ms.

Obviously, some people don't understand that lobbying for O&C funds is what has brought the funds that pay for the county services you get whether it be in lieu of higher property taxes, money for schools, parks, services for children and so forth. If the Commissioners don't lobby for money, the big cities back east will slurp it up and us rural areas will only get lip service. Lobbying isn't free and the big eastern cities and California already get more than enough of the taxes paid by us Oregonians and specifically the rural areas.

Thank you for bringing attention to this situation.

Well finally! Now the timber industry will have to pay to send their puppets to lobby on their behalf instead of allowing Commissioner's to steal money from education.
