Commission to get briefing on future of Portland's elk statue

On Monday, we could learn more about what will happen to the historic elk statue removed from downtown Portland.

The 120-year-old statue was moved last year after protesters lit a fire underneath it.

Since then, it's been in storage.

On Monday, the Historic Landmarks Commission is expected to hear a briefing on the statue and discuss how it could be replaced or relocated.
